Created and performed by Deborah Light, this 20 min solo exposes the alternative realities of our inner and outer worlds. Cortex explores notions of anonymity and loss of external identity while revealing an inner world of associations and imaginings. Laced with dark humour it offers a glimpse into a distorted reality. With striking design by Neil Davies Cortex uses a series of wigs to delve into the transformative nature of hair as the body morphs between human, animal, angelic, and doll like states.
